Social hosting laws

One important thing for adults to remember is that it is illegal to knowingly provide alcohol to a minor. In many areas, there are social hosting laws or ordinances that would hold adults accountable for minors drinking alcohol under their supervision, unless the adult is the parent or guardian of the minor. In Texas, adults can be sued for damages for providing alcohol to minors, and in some communities, criminal charges can be filed. Visit here to find more information on social hosting laws.
